Why this wasn't a straightforward install

Several panels were large format, including one at 1.8m × 3.2m that had to be filmed from a ladder. At that scale, getting the film onto the glass without defect requires precise coordination and no margin for error. One creased panel means re-cutting and starting again.

Two installers worked the large panel together — one wetting and positioning the film at height, the other squeegeeing out solution and air from the bottom up. With panels this size, every inch is choreographed: too much hesitation and the slip-solution starts to dry; too much pressure and the film stretches.

Turned around in one week, start to finish

The enquiry came in over the weekend. Within the same week we completed a site assessment, specified the right product, prepared the film, and finished the installation, getting the business back open on schedule. Standard glass shatters and falls away in seconds, giving an intruder open access. With Ultra S800 bonded to the inside face, the glass still breaks on impact.
