Biggest single driver, entry vs Prestige can be 3× /m².

Total m² of glass

Bigger jobs unlock better $/m² rates. Min job ~$440 inc GST.

Access & height

Ground floor easy; ladder use requires more time, and scaffold/EWP involves equipment hire costs.

Window count vs size

Many small panes cost more per m² than fewer large ones (more cuts, edges).

Pattern / decorative cuts

Custom cut patterns add design + plotter time.

Film usage

Film comes in standard widths, so depending on your pane sizes there may be more or less wastage.

Frames condition

Wooden painted frames take longer to prep and install than aluminium frames.

Old film removal

Stripping failed/bubbled film: $20–$45/m² inc GST before new install.

Urgency

Standard 1–3 wks. Priority scheduling +4–10%.

We are not the cheapest, if budget is the only factor, a cash-job tinter will beat us on price.
Premium 3M Prestige and 3M All-Season film have 1–3 week lead times when stock is low.
Film is not a substitute for structural double glazing on heritage single-pane sashes, we'll tell you when retrofit glazing is the better call.
Decorative films are not heat-rejection films. Mixing goals can mean two films on different windows.
We don't tint car windows. Architectural only.

Why won't you give me a flat per-window price over the phone?⌄

Because window 'sizes' vary 10×, a bathroom highlight is 0.4 m², a sliding door is 5 m². Pricing per m² is the only way to be fair and accurate. Our Instant Estimator gives you a real range in 60 seconds.

Do you price-match cheaper quotes?⌄

Only when comparing apples-to-apples (same 3M product, same warranty, same insurance). We won't match an uninsured cash job, that's not a saving, it's a risk transfer.

Are there finance / payment plan options?⌄

Jobs over $2,000 inc GST can be split into a 50% deposit and balance on completion. We don't currently offer 3rd-party finance.

Will tinting void my glass / double-glazing warranty?⌄

Not when installed by a 3M Platinum Select Partner dealer using approved films, 3M's Glass Breakage & Seal Failure Warranty covers you. We confirm compatibility before quoting.

How long do prices stay valid?⌄

Written quotes are honoured for 30 days. 3M reviews film pricing each quarter, so beyond 30 days we may need to re-confirm.
