3M™ Sun Control Window Film — Prestige Series
Unlike traditional metallised films, 3M Prestige is built from hundreds of micro-thin optical layers. That construction is what lets it reject heat without darkening the glass or turning your windows into mirrors from the street.
Because there's no metal in the film, it doesn't corrode over time and it doesn't interfere with mobile reception, Wi-Fi or GPS, a common headache with cheaper reflective tints on modern apartments and homes.
Prestige comes in five visible-light options (VLT) so we can dial in the exact balance of natural light and heat control for each room. Every option blocks 99.9% of UV, protecting timber floors, joinery, artwork and skin. It’s the film we specify most often on residential window tinting projects where the view matters as much as the heat.

Up to 97% infrared rejection
3M's published infrared rejection figure, measured over a specified infrared band. It is not an overall heat rejection figure.
Crystal-clear view
Non-reflective and non-mirrored, your windows still look like windows.

Five VLT options — from nearly invisible Prestige 70 through to the strongest solar control in the range with Prestige 20. All figures below are 3M's published values on 6 mm clear single-pane glass.

Prestige is unusual in publishing an additional TSER figure at a 60° sun angle. For PR70, TSER rises from 50% at normal incidence to 59% at 60°. That 59% is not the product's Solar Heat Reduction figure; the separately published figure is 38% on 6 mm clear single-pane glass.
