3M™ Sun Control Window Film — Ceramic Architectural Series
The Ceramic Architectural Series is 3M's flat-glass ceramic range, built on non-metalized ceramic nano-particles rather than a metallised or dyed layer. It comes in four shades of blue-gray — CA80, CA60, CA45 and CA35 — rejecting between 52% and 60% of total solar energy on single-pane tinted glass while blocking 99% of UV.
Because there's no metal layer, the film doesn't corrode and doesn't interfere with Wi-Fi, mobile reception, GPS or smart-home hardware — a common complaint with older reflective tints in apartments.
It sits between our entry solar films and the flagship 3M Prestige Series: a defined tint level with strong glare control, at a friendlier price than Prestige. If you need a near-clear film that keeps the glass looking untinted, Prestige is the better fit — the Ceramic Architectural Series is a visible blue-gray shade by design.
