Melbourne window film specialists since 1997 — 3M Platinum Select Partner, WFAANZ flat glass accredited and WERS For Film accredited.
Picking the right window film is about more than price or the biggest number on a spec sheet. It has to suit your actual glass, your property, and what you're trying to achieve — and it has to be installed properly by someone who genuinely knows what they're doing.
We've specialised in residential and commercial window film since 1997. Whether you want less heat, less glare, more privacy, stronger glass or just a different look, we'll recommend something suited to your windows — not whatever's easiest to sell.

The entire process was professional and hassle-free, from the initial consultation through to the installation. The quality of the tint is excellent, providing added security, UV protection, and improved privacy while still maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The installation was completed to a very high standard, with great attention to detail and no visible imperfections. “UV coatings were great with helping me choose the best suited tint to match a window to other existing windows. Also gave me some good advice on another skylight window issue I was having and helped me find a solution.”

“We recently had UV Window Coatings install window tinting to our existing windows, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Khoa and the team were professional from the initial quote right through to installation. The process was smooth, the workmanship was excellent, and the difference has been incredible. Rooms that used to become unbearably hot from the afternoon sun are now much more comfortable, and we've noticed a significant reduction in heat coming through the windows. The tint looks fantastic, maintains the views, and has made a huge difference to the comfort of our home. If you're looking for a quality window tinting solution, I highly recommend Khoa and the team at UV Window Coatings. Amazing work and outstanding service!”

“It felt like I had a village take care of my tinting needs. Deb in sales really knows her stuff, Khoa as well. The installers Brendan and Steve did a great job too. The admin staff were professional. I really like how they went out of their way to leave me samples so I can have a think about my options. The non reflective options they have are great and we ended up doing our whole house. The house looks great and modern, ready for summer.”

“We are delighted to have been referred to UV Window Coatings. From our first contact to installation the experience has been excellent. The film significantly reduced the heat coming into our upstairs rooms facing west, north and east. The advice we received and the installation was most professional. I highly recommend this company.”

“Rachel, Deb, Khoa and Steve were immensely helpful and accommodating from the first consultation contact to installation. Loved the fact I was educated and recommended different options based on my requirements and suitability before locking. I eventually went with both privacy and security film combined option which I’ve been satisfied with so far. Will come to this team again for my future projects.”

Most window film installers hold one credential, if any. Each of ours covers a different part of the job — product access, glass and film compatibility, energy performance, and installation quality.
The highest tier in 3M's partner program — it's what gives us access to premium films most installers can't get.
Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand member, with WFAANZ Architectural Window Film accreditation for flat glass.
Australia's recognised energy performance rating program for window film — real tested data, not marketing claims.
Your job is installed by our own team, not handed to a subcontractor once the quote's signed.
Healthcare, retail, hospitality, sport and public buildings across Melbourne — since 1997.
3M's Select Partner program has tiers, and Platinum is the top one — a higher level than Gold, held by a small number of installers nationally.
In practice, this gets you access to premium ranges like 3M Prestige and 3M Ultra Safety and Security, a genuine 3M manufacturer warranty on the product, and a business that's been assessed against 3M's own standards — not just someone who bought film wholesale and calls themselves a dealer.
When you're comparing quotes, it's worth asking: is this business an authorised 3M Select Partner, and at what tier? Does the quote name the exact product? Is the 3M warranty actually included? Has the film been checked against your specific glass?
We're members of the Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand, and we've completed WFAANZ's Architectural Window Film accreditation for flat glass — specialist training covering glass types and construction, film selection, thermal stress, coated and laminated glass, single vs double glazing, and correct installation practice.
This matters because the film with the best numbers on paper isn't automatically right for every window. Glass type, pane size, existing coatings and orientation all affect whether a film is actually safe and suitable — our WFAANZ training is what backs that judgement call, rather than a one-size-fits-all recommendation.
WERS For Film is Australia's recognised energy rating program for window film — eligible products are independently tested for how they affect a building's heating and cooling performance, so you can compare films on real data rather than marketing claims.
Being accredited means we can identify WERS-rated films, explain the actual energy performance, and issue a WERS For Film energy certificate where the product and installation qualify — useful if you're an architect, builder or property professional who needs recognised documentation, not just a sales pitch.
Before we recommend anything, we look at whether your glass is single or double glazed, toughened or laminated, whether it already has a Low-E coating, the pane size, which way it faces, and what you're actually trying to fix — heat, glare, UV, privacy, or the way the glass looks.
Different films trade off differently. A darker film cuts glare hard but takes more light with it. A reflective film gives you daytime privacy but changes how the glass looks from outside, and loses that privacy effect at night once your lights are on. A clear film keeps the view but won't control glare as well as a darker one. We'll walk you through those trade-offs honestly rather than pushing whatever's most expensive.
Your job is installed by our own team, not handed off to a subcontractor once the quote's signed. That gives us control over the things that actually matter — prep, finishing, communication, scheduling, and what happens if something needs to be followed up under warranty later.
Our installers handle large panes, high-level glazing, difficult access, external installs, decorative and custom-printed film, safety and security film, attachment systems, anti-graffiti film, and safety decals.
Melbourne homeowners come to us to fix hot rooms, glare, fading, privacy, and winter cold — without covering the windows or losing the view. That covers everything from west-facing living rooms to bathrooms needing privacy film to older homes wanting All Season insulation film for winter performance.
We bring samples to the consultation so you can see how a film actually looks against your own glass before deciding, and we factor in how the room's used and which way it faces — not just the spec sheet.
Explore residential window tintingWe've worked across some of Melbourne's better-known venues, healthcare facilities, shopping centres and hospitality businesses — coordinating around occupied buildings and operational hours, not just showing up and starting.
We installed 3M S40 Safety Film to improve the safety performance of the existing glazing. Working in a major sporting venue means planning around access and operations, not disrupting them.
We installed 3M All-Season (Low-E) window film to help manage heat gain and heat loss and improve the building's energy efficiency, coordinating the work across an occupied healthcare environment.
We installed 3M Dichroic Blaze film, which shifts colour depending on the angle and light — a distinctive architectural finish without replacing the glass.
Specialist commercial window film work requiring the scheduling and coordination that comes with a live shopping centre environment.
We installed 3M Prestige 60 to cut solar heat through the restaurant's waterfront glazing while keeping the light and the view, finished in a single day to avoid disrupting service.
3M Ultra Security film — a multi-layered, tear-resistant film that helps hold broken glass together and slows forced entry.
Security film is only as good as the assessment behind it — the glass type, the framing system, and how much protection the situation actually calls for. We've installed products across the 3M Safety and Security range — from 3M S40 at Rod Laver Arena to Ultra Security film on Melbourne retail shopfronts — so we're not guessing at what a job like yours needs.
Worth being upfront: security film doesn't make glass unbreakable — it slows down and deters, it doesn't guarantee. We'll tell you honestly what a given film can and can't do, and recommend accordingly rather than overselling the protection.

We've specialised in architectural window film since 1997 and hold 3M Platinum Select Partner status, WFAANZ flat glass accreditation, and WERS For Film accreditation — covering product access, glass knowledge, energy performance and installation in one business. Our own in-house, fully insured team does the install, and your quote names the exact product and warranty upfront.
It means we're authorised to recommend, supply and install eligible 3M architectural films — including premium ranges like Prestige and Ultra Safety and Security — and that what you're getting is genuine 3M product backed by the real manufacturer warranty, not a grey-market substitute.
Yes — Platinum is the highest tier in 3M's Select Partner program, above Gold. We hold Platinum.
Training specific to flat glass applications — glass types, film selection, compatibility, thermal stress, coated and laminated glass, and correct installation practice for homes and commercial buildings.
WERS For Film independently rates window film's effect on a building's heating and cooling performance. Being accredited means we can identify WERS-rated films, explain the real energy performance, and issue a WERS For Film certificate where the job qualifies.

Glass type, orientation, existing coatings, pane size, exposure, and what you're trying to fix. Then we compare films on heat, glare, light, privacy, appearance, glass compatibility and warranty — not the same film for every job.
3M is our main premium range, and we're a Platinum Select Partner — but we'll recommend another established manufacturer's film if it's genuinely a better fit for the job or the budget.
