3M™ Safety & Security Window Films
Ordinary glass is one of the biggest risks in a home or building — a single impact can send hundreds of sharp fragments through a room. 3M Safety & Security film is a heavy, optically clear polyester membrane bonded to the inside (or outside) of the glass with a high-performance adhesive.
When the glass is hit, by a storm, a burglar, an accident or an explosion, the shards stay stuck to the film instead of flying loose. That protects the people inside, slows down anyone trying to force entry, and keeps the opening covered until the pane can be replaced.
Pair the film with a 3M Impact Protection Attachment System around the frame and you dramatically upgrade the performance of the whole window — turning existing glazing into a genuine protective barrier without replacing the glass.
Holds shattered glass in place
In break-ins, storms or impact events the film keeps fragments bonded, reducing flying-glass injuries and slowing forced entry.
Protects people first
Meets AS/NZS 2208 human-impact safety glazing when combined with the right glass, and helps upgrade single-glazed windows without a full re-glaze.

3M Safety & Security films carry a limited lifetime residential warranty and a commercial warranty that depends on the selected product, when installed by a Select Partner. As a Platinum-tier installer, UV Window Coatings registers your warranty with 3M on completion.
