Melbourne living room with 3M Ceramic IR window film rejecting infrared heat

    3M Ceramic IR Window Film

Advanced ceramic construction that goes after infrared heat specifically — so you can cut the heat and glare in a room without dropping it into darkness or mirroring the glass.

    Overview

3M™ Sun Control Window Film — Ceramic IR Series

Most of the heat you feel through a window arrives as infrared radiation. Ceramic IR uses a metal-free ceramic particle construction tuned to that part of the spectrum, so it can knock down a large share of the heat while still letting plenty of natural light through.

Because there's no metal layer, the film doesn't corrode and doesn't interfere with Wi-Fi, mobile reception, GPS or smart-home hardware — a common complaint with older reflective tints in apartments.

It sits between our entry solar films and the flagship 3M Prestige Series: more heat rejection than a standard dyed film, at a friendlier price than Prestige, with a neutral look that suits most Melbourne homes and offices.

    Targets infrared heat

Ceramic construction absorbs and rejects the infrared band you feel as heat, without needing a dark or reflective tint.

    Neutral, non-mirrored look

A natural charcoal tone from inside and out — no chrome or mirror finish on your façade.

    No signal interference

Metal-free ceramic layers, so Wi-Fi, mobile reception, GPS and smart-home devices are unaffected.

    3M manufacturer warranty

Backed by 3M and registered by a Platinum Select Partner on completion.

    • Large expanses of glass where a dark tint would be too heavy
